I recently came across this article about improving self esteem on the coach and counsel website.

The article basically gives you a few simple exercises to help you overcome low or poor self esteem. It made me wonder whether improving self esteem really could be done by such simple exercises. So I decided to have a quick look around the net to see what other people were suggesting to improve self esteem.

“One of the biggest problems facing a person suffering from low self esteem is that it prevents them from living life to the fullest” This is quite probably true and is one of the statements made at http://www.goodcommunicationtips.com/2008/07/08/know-the-symptoms-of-low-self-esteem-and-seek-professional-help-to-overcome-them/

http://www.kenny-tran.com/my-life/how-to-build-your-self-esteem/ This was an interesting site with a number of good tips and insights for improving self esteem.

8 Ways to Boost  Your Self Esteem is what the title says and eight ways is what you get at http://www.leonlioe.com/self-confidence/8-ways-to-boost-your-self-esteem

Another interesting article stated that “If parents spend more time criticizing than praising a child, it can be harder for a kid to develop good self-esteem.”, which again ios probably quite true. You can read more about this in a lengthy article at http://beautydepravity.wordpress.com/2008/06/23/how-can-i-improve-my-self-esteem/
